The Eolian Islands are located in the Province of Messina and can be reached by boat from, several ports.
Mílazzo is the nearest port on the Sicilian coast and multiple connections are available daily by ferry or jetfoil.

During the Winter season (from October through fate May), ferry service operates from Naples
and Milazzo and jetfolis from Milazzo, Messina and Reggio Calabria.
During the summer season (from June through early September), the number of services increases by ferry from Milazzo and from Naples, by jetfoil from Mìlazzo, Messìna, Reggìo Calabrìa, Palermo, Capo d'Orlando, Naples. By air
The nearest airport to the Eolian Islands is Reggio Calabria Airport.
From the airport there is a bus service for Messina with flight connections , jetfoil then proceed directly to the islands.

Alternatively you can reach Milazzo by bus (via Messina) and continue by jetfoil from Milazzo.
